Citizens For Local Power

Introduction
Our Energy Action Group is called Citizens for Local Power (C4LP)

Fast-rising energy costs, the “addiction to oil”, global warming, our county and city dependence on outside energy sources - these are the drivers that call us to action. We can make a difference – now. The way to do it is right here in our own backyard. And the answers are here now and ready for us to take action.

The Energy Action Group is dedicated to finding practical answers that help us locally, today, and in our homes and businesses to conserve energy, save money and strengthen our community. We can initiate programs and events which result in smarter energy use in Jefferson County. We must focus on effective energy conservation and renewable energy alternatives. Our efforts include education seminars, energy projects and longer range advocacy plans toward energy resilience for Jefferson County.

Local 2020 Energy Action Group, with the Jefferson Energy Center, has hosted a series of public education programs which advance our goal of smarter energy use.
