In 2009 we delivered more than 12,000 pounds of apples, pears, plums, and vegetables to the following grateful organizations: Area food banks, senior meals, senior housing, local schools, hospital, and the Boiler Room.

Thanks to all who donated fruit, vegetables, time and energy.

Volunteers...
The best way to help is to locate a tree that needs harvesting, talk with the owner about their willingness to donate the fruit and let us know that you want to "watch" the tree and help harvest it when it's ready. Let us know about the trees you are watching, so we can add them to our database and coordinate a team to help pick, tools, and drop off to an organization that is ready to receive the fruit.

         Volunteers are needed to:
  • Find trees to pick
  • Check on trees for ripeness
  • Pick trees with a team
  • Deliver donated fruit
  • Help organize by phone or computer

Sign up on our Yahoo Group to be notified about
   picking opportunities.
